Samson Osagie, ex Edo State legislator and immediate past Executive Director of the Nigerian Communication Satellite Limited has come under attack form the Committee for Good Goverance for his unguarded statement against the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki. At a recent interview, he was quoted to have said : Obaseki is the wrong choice as governor for Edo State. But the group slammed the legislator for being reckless.”If Obaseki is the wrong choice, Osagie himself is the worst choice as legislator to represent his people”, stated the chairman, Prince Ebri Ukagu. ” His people have nothing to show for all his so called years both at the State House of Assembly and the Federal House”, said Prince Ebri. “These are people who love themselves more than those who elected them in the first place; they get to office only to help themselves with ill-gotten wealth”. The statement queried: “Who made them our leaders? they should just keep quiet and let the people decide who rule them; if it is Obaseki, fine, if not so be it, but certainly, not people like Samson Osagie should decide.” Meanwhile, a former speaker of the Edo House of Assembly has vowed to launch a massive campaign for the removal of Comrade Adams Oshiomole as chairman of the All Peoples Progressive Congress(APC). The speaker Kabiru Adjoto said the APC chieftain was using his position as the APC chairman to destabilise the party in Edo State.
