Xenophobic Attacks: Full Blown Crisis Underway.

With the call by the Hierarchy of the National Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) on Thursday in Abuja, the stage is set for a full blown diplomatic crisis.

Arising from the brief meeting, the Committee called on the Federal Government to nationalise all known South African assets in Nigeria including Shoprite, MTN, and Multi-Choice amongst others.  The party also urged the government to revoke the licence of both Stanbic-IBTC and Standard Chartered. Across Nigeria, the Police are keeping vigil to ensure that irate youths do not cause havoc while other countries have already boycotted a world summit currently holding in Johannesburg.

The anger sweeping through the land has been sparked off by the violent killings of innocent Nigerians in the former apartheid country with the Cyril Ramaphosa led government keeping mum. A video showing the burning of an alleged Nigerian that went viral was enough to ignite the simultaneous reprisals yet to abate. “We are ready for South Africans”, yelled an angry youth brandishing match stick and fire wood, along the airport road obviously angling towards the Shoprite premises.

The street urchin who could not be consoled called the South Africans “barbarians”, “monsters”, for the satanic treatment meted out to Nigerians. But the South Africans, not showing remorse fired back calling Nigerians drug dealers!
