Exceptional! This best describes the leadership qualities of Professor Babagana Umara Zulum. He is rapidly becoming the toast of the Nation. By his unprecedented appointments and discharge of duties, Babagana Zulum is emphatically showing himself not to be the nepotistic leader people of his tribe has shown them selves to be. Zulum supervises work himself; he appoints people of diverse background, the latest being chief Kesta Ogualili and Alhaji Yusuf Alao into his cabinet. He also promoted Mrs Obiageli Mazi an indigent of Abia State and a long serving teacher from level 12 to assistant headmaster. Prof Zulum visits insurgency spots himself to carry out assessment; he seldom wait for officials to report to him. The action governor who aptly fits the description of “servant-master” doled out N200 million to more than 50,000 women ravaged by Boko Haram. The governor is strongly committed to the security of his people; he recently donated 70 vehicles to the Police, Army, Civilian Joint Task Force. Between last June and September 2019, a total of 160 units of patrol vehicles were handed to security agencies in the State. Prof Zulum declared recently: ” I will not hesitate to spend any amount of money for the security and welfare of my people”, and he is doing just that! Take a look at his Housing, Health, Education and poverty Alleviation programmes and you are certainly going to doff your hart for him. The governor even spent two whole days in Nganza and Abadam local Government Councils to distribute variety of food and non food items plus relief materials and a token of N5,000 each to victims in 17 known and other IDP camps. What other way to define exemplary leadership! Keep it up Prof Zulum, Nigerians are taking note. Whoops! That’s the way to do it. Leadership is not just occupying plum offices
