Suddenly, the mighty hand of the creator of the universe, the beginning and the end, Jehovah overdo has begun to manifest in the camp of the APC– the most formidable opponents of the undisputed people’s Governor, Godwin Obaseki, also known as GO. Their camp is now in complete disarray. And what better time to show up when all physical and material preparation for rigging has been worked out. First, at the planned mega rally, APC governors who would have made the difference inexplicably failed to show up. Some of them include the “helicopter” flying governor of Kogi State; governor El-Rufai of Kaduna, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi and the Minister for Transportation, to mention few.  The “Supreme court” governor of Imo State and the “Gandollars” of Kano State showed up; Alhaji Ibrahim Ganduje was said to have been surmised to see footages of himself stuffing “dollars” into his pocket—or was he? He is known to be a very good friend of “major-general” comrade Adams Oshiomole who has been involved in shouting match all day with his associates. The inexplicable flop of the scheduled mega rally apart from being an eye-opener was received as a big shock. Several reasons were put forward to explain their absence. One was that they saw no reason to contribute to the campaign machinery because Oshiomole had hijacked the structures obviously for his selfish ends; secondly, they felt non-committal because Oshiomole and Tinubu were running the show to achieve a common goal—the presidency. But the biggest reason adduced for their absence was that when they pleaded with Tinubu and Oshiomole to spare one of their own, the former governor of Lagos State, they stoutly refused; for another of their own Godwin Obaseki, their plea again fell on deaf ears. From their calculation, therefore, they felt not needed nor participate in a matter they know nothing of. That’s why –as the newspaperman –gathered, they kept their distance. On the other hand, information put together suggested that the APC governors were alarmed at the dangerous manner Oshiomole was heating the polity which eventually attracted world attention to issue travel ban. According to further reports, the APC governors had severally appealed to Oshiomole to use flexibility in handling colleagues for which he also rebuffed. Above all, the governors suspect rightly that Oshiomole’s interest was not really on Osagie Ize Iyamu, but on restoring his badly damaged reputation. “The APC candidate is just a camouflage”, said Justus Aibangbe a Benin based civil servant. “I can tell you that for free and I pity the man called POI”, he added. He told the newspaperman reporters that pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu who Oshiomole had clearly flattened in monstrous abuse cannot in any way perform better than GO—whether he is a grassroots man or not. “To govern is a different thing; you need to have the right temperament which he doesn’t”, he explained. For Oshiomole, a defeat in today’s election would mean goodbye to politics –the same way he treated late Chief Tony Anenih. Abuja has distanced themselves from him; now is the turn of Benin. “Imagine a former national chair suspended by people of his own ward coming here to boast”, said another observer. “He is not a good politician”, disclosed another fellow. No wonder their camp is in total disarray for today’s election.
