Donald Trump! This name is not likely to be forgotten so soon by a large section of reasonable Americans-and the world at large. But for those who will try to forget, it will only be because the name sends cold shivers down their spine. Donald Trump is the 45th president of America who has for a record second time been impeached —within the first four years of his tenure.
Thankfully, for Americans, there would not be another four years for the man who derides himself as being cheated by the same people who despise him because of his tragic character flaws. Donald looks tough, fierce, and wears an overtly confident façade; he is aggressively masculine and never shies away from controversy. He walks with an impressive swagger with his thick bulky frame, bulging eyes and most times his head twitching.
He is a tough guy who uses his imposing physic for the wrong reasons. Maybe, you will roll your mind a bit back to the ’80s in the days of Dick “Bulldog” Brower who was the stereotypical pro-wrestling bad guy. Along with the likes of Mighty Igor, Mil Mascaras they have a tremendous semblance with each other—very proud, haughty and perhaps dangerous. America just escaped from what is called “Sobibor” reminiscent of the German concentration camp in which Hitler wreaked havoc and violently ended millions of promising careers.
The tragedy of Donald Trump is that no one knows his role model: Jim Crow the 19th-century harbinger of segregation acts or Adolf Hitler whose spread of Nazism brought chaos, sorrow and ruin to his country? Whichever, America would have its strong Institutions to thank for saving the day for them. Nancy Pelosi, although vilified by white supremacist for daring to ring impeachment charges against their man and follow-through, has been the barrier that stood as a wedge preventing Donald Trump from transferring the United States from “ God’s own country” to “devil’s own alternative” through his vicious approach to administration.
He acted as though he was on a vengeful path breaching the sacred laws with impunity; his separation of children from their parents-notwithstanding the shrieks, howls and the anguish; pampering racial injustice, tolerating the killing of blacks, the cruel raid by his supporters at the Capitol Hill, where a fellow was captured with the Nazi Swagger sign! Refusal to accept the election outcome claiming to have won with a wide margin! America is not the place to play such pranks, and rightly, they told him so—in the stern language! Yes, in Jean-Bedel Bokassa’s Central African Republic, Mobutu Sese Seko of DR Congo and Gnassimgbe Eyadema of Togo (all late) this sort of bogus claim would have been regarded as normal; even now a similar despot in Yoweri Museveni who has ruled Uganda for 35years is about to “win” another landslide election for a record sixth term.
His opponent, who was 3 years old when the former rebel leader seized controls of the reins of power, was badly beaten and thrown into jail for daring to challenge his authority! Of course, the latest news from that country is that the brutal ruler is already “leading” with a very wide margin! Luckily, the system works in America. That’s the saving grace. But they came within a spitting glimpse of the type of scenario Africans are used to in the Capitol Hill raid; the rage and barbarism displayed were gruesome enough to send whoever was in the chambers scampering for safety.
America was on the verge of deteriorating to Sobibor. From television footages, you could see the Gestapo style display put up by some uniformed men who joined in the destructive exercise. Donald Trump wanted to rule America with an iron hand, but the evil he committed in the past never left him; his ordeals and trials are all products of bad upbringing. What will he now be remembered for? In a few days from now, he would be gone in history; and America would be free to practice their democracy—as they know it: via the rule of law and obeisance to the sacred constitution! Nevertheless, the complex labyrinth of their laws must do well to give the Blacks more protection as well—and prevent a reoccurrence of the Trumpian era.
