The South- South Professionals Association (SSPA) Abuja chapter has responded to the recent outburst of Prince Kassim Afegbua against Godwin Obaseki telling him to remove the speck in his own eyes first before criticising the Edo State governor. Prince Kassim Afegbua had gone on the channels and AIT television to criticise the manner the Edo State governor was granted soft landing in PDP and vowed not to vote or support him.
But the group responding through its President, Engr. Phillip Anyegbunam, called the bluff with Afegbua, and sharply contended that Obaseki has nothing to worry about from such outburst; instead they challenged Afegbua to prove his mettle—if he has any . Describing him as a political paperweight that has no electoral value except his access to the media, they lambasted him for being childish and over estimating himself. “Afegbua was SA to Oshiomole; served as Commissioner to Oshiomole, built houses in Abuja and Okpella through the help of Oshiomole; yet he betrayed him for his selfish end”, disclosed Engr. Phillips. “Today he has crossed over to PDP and wants people to recognise him”, queried Engr. Phillips.
Explaining further, he called on Obaseki to ignore him because he is only seeking for recognition and cannot even deliver his immediate family not to mention ward. “What he has done amounts to ranting of an Ant; Afegbua thinks people he met in PDP when he crossed carpet are not human beings. “Who is he to dictate to Obaseki”, he questioned. “Tomorrow when the chips are down, he will again cross over to the APC where his bred was buttered by the same Oshiomole he came to the Television to disgrace”, said Engr. Phillips adding that “let him remove the speck in his own eyes before anything else”.
