Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has expressed disappointment at the rising cases of corruption reaching his office, warning public officers that whoever was caught would not be spared.
Obaseki spoke on Wednesday during the swearing-in of Richard Uyi Edebiri as a Commissioner in the State. He said Government appointment is a call to service rather than an opportunity to make money.
The Governor said his administration would partner with the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offenses Commission (ICPC) to ensure that the Civil Service practiced only acceptable code of practice.
