News making the rounds in the last few days linking the former governor of Lagos State as an interested aspirant to the now vacant Lagos East Senatorial ticket is not true. An insider source has formerly dismissed the association as not only fake but laughable. According to an insider source who pleaded anonymity, the former governor nurses no such plan nor desire whatsoever towards running as a senator let alone replacing anybody. The source added that having served Lagos State meritoriously for four years as governor with his landmark projects dotting the Lagos infrastructural landscape, Ambode has chosen to remain in the background to serve humanity.
