First, your thoughts translate into words and your words into actions!
Think about this: when you were growing up from college to university you may have carried out certain activities and plans which today, 30 years after the result stares you in the face. Fine, 30 years ago, you never knew you would be where you are –and was never religious enough to know that in the bible is written: my people perish for lack of knowledge” and the fact that you are ignorant of something doesn’t prevent the consequence from occurring!
Likewise, the burden of prophecy—true or false! While some people especially leader’s take actions that boomerang in future, perhaps they would have exercised caution if they knew what the future would bring. Herein lies the dilemma of most of our today’s leaders. The consequences of their past actions! No wonder the Bible says the vision is yet for an appointed time! God reminds us: “the secret things belong to me, but those things which are revealed belong unto us and our children forever! Deut. 29: 29.
So it follows that had we known that 20 years after leaving the university that God would make us Leaders, some of us would never have attempted crooked ways such as drug dealing, weed smokers, rapists—or cultists of any kind. This explains why some of the actions we took as teenagers come back to haunt us at old age; this also explains why some people who were leaders before go scot-free because their ways were clean and so no skeleton in their cupboard!
Therein again lies the burden of prophecy! From space to a reality—the imagination of your thoughts! Hear Proverbs 3 vs. 35; “the wise shall inherit glory; but shame shall be the promotion of fools” Likewise when a person character is questionable, it affects every area of his life.
