Imohinmi Edgal, a former old boy of the Federal Government College Warri has been elevated to the exalted rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police. Edgal had been Commissioner of Police Akwa Ibom State from where he was made CP SARS based in Lagos. Imohinmi also at one time served as commissioner of police Lagos State.
A veteran of sort, the FGCW old kid in the block has distinguished himself as a thorough breed professional and an accomplished crime buster. The ace police officer, during his time as police boss of Lagos State, had cracked the deadly “Badoo Boys” criminal gang and ensured the state had respite.
His elevation marked another milestone by old boys from the prestigious institution having earlier produced a brilliant governor who presided over a coastal state as well as serving and retired managing directors of banking institutions.
