President Muhammadu Buhari’s fight against corruption in Nigeria has received a tremendous support from the Overall Coordinator of the Concerned Nigerian Network in Diaspora Comrade James Erebuoye (UNRS Ambassador).
Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the Federal Capital, Ambassador James commended President Buhari for bringing sanity into the country via his unrelenting war against corruption. “For the first time in history, the big men are crying, wailing and lamenting because no more free money”, he told journalists.
The Ambassador disclosed that under Buhari, stealing of public funds has reduced drastically and fear instilled in the minds of the looters and would be looters of national treasury in what he said was a clear departure from the recklessness and impunity of the past administration.
Now as a result, the Ambassador said foreign direct investment is now pouring in into Nigeria that will end up removing youths from the streets.
Comrade James also took a swipe at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Amnesty Programme for condoning characters who see their position as avenues for self-aggrandizement including their proxies. “If billions allocated by the Federal Government are used for its primary purpose, the Niger Delta region would have been like New York City by now but for looting, He announced.
He also queried the business of NDDC Directors junketing abroad on flimsy excuses and called for the return of the NDDC under the control of the SGF.
Comrade James said it is unhelpful to keep NDDC under the supervision of the Niger Delta Ministry.
