The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu last Monday, again delivered on his mandate: the road to greater Lagos is gradually taking shape! This time, Ojokoro, a densely populated area in Lagos, to be precise Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government has been completed.

The roads first awarded in 2017 in deplorable condition has been opened up to members of the public Six months after the governor first made his promise. “I made the promise and now we have delivered; we will do same; thanks to my associates; it’s all team work”, he stated at the commissioning.

The completed roads would relieve residents the agony brought about by perennial gridlock, and also reduce travel time along the notorious Lagos-Abeokuta expressway. Sanwo-Olu has been endearing himself into the heart of Lagosians and Nigerians with the speed of his work rate; he has continued to confound critics with his superb vision and professionalism.

Sanwo-Olu has not ruffled any camp within the ruling party and instead has been building bridges with open hands across the various political camps. He is indeed a source of inspiration in leadership and worthy of emulation by others in his mould. At this rate it is only but a matter of time for his greater Lagos plan to take shape.
